Final Stop for Final Fantasy Talks

5- mini-games pt 2- Final fantasy VII, viii, and ix

With Blitzball out of our system (phew, sorry about that) we move onto the good ol’ Playstation 1 titles with VII, VIII, and IX. While there are a few large mini-games, the thing we love most about the older Final Fantasy’s is that there are a TON of small games all over. Plus, many of them you only do once and/or can’t return to so it gives even more of an incentive to do them while they last, or utterly fly on past because they are detestable. Yeah, we understand.

There is quite a bit to get through and we condensed it down best we could, but naturally a large chunk needed to be spent on our other main favorite mini-game, Triple Triad. So pull up a chair, snag a coffee/snack, and strap in to be taken through 23 mini-games (and we’re sure we missed some!) throughout Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX.

Highlights of this episode:

Let’s be honest, digital just made everything so much easier. We may not like that it removes the experience of actually going somewhere to buy a game, but phew it’s that ease of access. Below we have some great digital options for you and let us say, it’s not easy finding just the right Final Fantasy versions. Browse around though if you’d like! Also, the Gamestop image will take you to the Power Up Rewards page which we highly recommend signing up for if you ever shop at their stores!
